Anche questa settimana una selezione che ha delle caratteristiche particolari, oltre al fatto di essere un grande brano musicale, a mio parere. Si tratta della cover realizzata dai Walk off the Earth, del brano Somebody That I Used to Know di Gotye. Una selva di illustri sconosciuti, potremmo dire…

Allora andiamo con ordine: Gotye è Wouter “Wally” De Backer, un cantautore e polistrumentista Australiano di origine Belga che recentemente ha pubblicato il brano in questione e ha poi inserito su YouTube il filmato, realizzato con la partecipazione di Kimbra, altra rivelazione australiana.

I Walk off the Earth sono invece un gruppo Canadese che ruota intorno alla coppia Gianni Luminati e Sarah Blackwood. Hanno avuto la geniale idea di riproporre il brano di Goyte non solo pochi giorni dopo la comparsa su YouTube, ma anche di suonarla in 5 su una sola chitarra !

Sta di fatto che la cosa ha fatto rapidamente il giro del web ottenendo una visibilità straordinaria. Entrambe le versioni, che qui propongo, sono veramente interessanti.
