Paolo Nutini è un giovane cantautore scozzese di discendenze toscane.
In maniera abbastanza casuale si ritrova ad esibirsi da ragazzino su un palco della sua città e viene notato da un produttore discografico.
Rappresenta un classico esempio di come la rete possa essere un valido mezzo per farsi conoscere, infatti la sua produzione iniziale riscuote molto successo sui social network del web e si ritrova ad aprire concerti di artisti quali KT Tunstall e Amy Winehouse.
Nel 2006 viene pubblicato il suo primo album, These Streets, che contiene anche il singolo New Shoes. Negli anni successivi pubblica altri due lavori, il più recente dei quali è Caustic Love è uscito pochi mesi fa.
