Joe Strummer fu cantante e chitarrista dei Clash. Allo scioglimento del gruppo, nel 1985 fece parte -o fondò- i 101’ers, i Pogues e i Mescaleros, gruppo che formò nel 1995 e con cui lavorò e si esibì in concerti fino alla morte, avvenuta nel dicembre del 2002 a 50 anni.

Coma Girl è il singolo e la prima traccia di Streetcore, album postumo dei Mescaleros. Si tratta di un brano dedicato da Joe Strummer alla figlia Lola per comunicarle il suo amore per la musica rock.
