Steve Miller è uno storico cantautore nato negli USA nel 1943, nonchè capofila del gruppo Steve Miller Band. Il brano che qui è accompagnato da un filmato d’epoca (la qualità è quella che è, ma lo spirito degli anni è molto ben rappresentato) è il famoso The Jocker, che nel 1973 rappresentò il punto di svolta di una carriera che non era ancora decollata.
A questo seguirono fama e successo per alcuni anni che culminarono con la tourneè del 1977 con gli Eagles. Da allora -a parte forse il rientro nel 1982 con Abracadabra- la band non ha più raggiunto i fasti precedenti, ma è ancora in attività e il disco più recente è stato pubblicato nel 2011.
